The summerlike heat floated through the open window, causing my heart to beat faster, breath to quicken, and body to yearn for blissful sleep. But I can't. To sleep right now is to willingly fall into a deep abyss, and into the grasps of a cold, lonely feeling, brought upon by fantasies that will never be. The heat brings with it a reality check and memories of a past life; a carefree, young girl whose only concern is receiving permission to play in the summer sun. Fast forward six years and what you get is a troubled teen, constantly searching for love in this loveless world. Her life a whirlwind of chaos she holds no control over. Forced to relinquish her grasp, she finally lets herself go and hands over the reins to Fate. Her reason? Whatever's meant to be, shall be, no matter how long it takes.
