The summerlike heat floated through the open window, causing my heart to beat faster, breath to quicken, and body to yearn for blissful sleep. But I can't. To sleep right now is to willingly fall into a deep abyss, and into the grasps of a cold, lonely feeling, brought upon by fantasies that will never be. The heat brings with it a reality check and memories of a past life; a carefree, young girl whose only concern is receiving permission to play in the summer sun. Fast forward six years and what you get is a troubled teen, constantly searching for love in this loveless world. Her life a whirlwind of chaos she holds no control over.
